In search of Happy Times in Atlanta

As part of the World Blogging Conference, I had to keep in mind the essence of what our stay i Atlanta was all about - the never ending search for the meaning of HAPPINESS!

While planning the rest of our day at the lobby of our hotel, as we had some free time to explore the city on our own with the other bloggers from around the globe, I overheard a group of people speaking French and laughing up a storm. It turns out, the jolly group that caught my attention was actually comprised of performers from the Cirque du Soleil!

Now I've always been a fan of the Circque, ever since I first saw them while I was a teenager studying in Montreal. I've had the pleasure of watching them a few times, the last time being just a few months ago while in Macau.

I ended up chatting up one of the Cirque performers and he told me that he and his buddies were actually clowns in the troupe! What luck! Imagine... We were on the search for "Happiness" and these professional clowns were in the business of spreading happiness through laughter :)

I was able to interview one of the clowns before heading out to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city.

Clowning around Atlanta!

A clown's paradise... Atlanta is the home of Cartoon Network!

Rememberin' to always stay informed! We stopped by the CNN Center for lunch and a look-see

Then it was a quick hop, skip and a jump to the Olympic Centennial Park

Happiness is also promoting competition, mental and physical health... as well as a positive exchange of cultures

Then it was back on the MARTA for some more sight-seeing around the city

We spotted the Coca-Cola Headquarters... We'll be getting a private tour there on the next day!

"Say Cheese!" - Met up with our blogger friends from Singapore

Then Drew showed us around Atlanta's happening places in the Midtown District

And we made some new friends at a local sports pub - one of them was from Detroit (which is my hometown)
