"Even when caught with his pants down, Lacierda still absolved Llamas of having the utak wang-wang and utak pulbura..."
MalacaƱang slams the utak wang-wang (VIP mentality) with which Noynoy always brands the previous administration and its officials and allies, but when his officials and allies display not only the same utak wang-wang and but also utak pulbura, such officials that display abusive power are quickly absolved of any wrongdoing.
In fact, MalacaƱang even lies through its teeth in absolving them, saying no violation has been committed.
A case in point: Presidential Adviser Ronaldo Llamas’ security detail that met a vehicular incident was nevertheless found lugging high-powered firearms, along with handguns.
The immediate claim of Llamas, through a statement, said that all firearms were duly registered, which was a lie, since official bodyguards are permitted to carry with them registered handguns, not high-powered fireams.
The fact that the high-powered firearms were not registered, and had no permits at all was clear when the security detail of Llamas refused to give up the rifles from inspection to the police and the MMDA that were present at the accident scene. The Llamas bodyguards, as the report went, refused to hand over the arms to authorities.
Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda quickly claimed that neither Llamas nor any of his men could be accused of any wrongdoing despite the fact that his Mitsubishi Montero Sports Utility Vehicle was seen containing high-powered weapons, including one that looked like an AK-47, which could not have been licensed to the Llamas boys.
But Lacierda could not explain how Llamas managed to secure a license to bring high-powered weapons outside his residence for the simple reason that there is a complete ban on the issuance of Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence for high powered firearms and submachine guns even if it involves security details of high government officials, including senators and congressmen.
Only security details who are in proper police or military uniform are allowed to bring along high-powered firearms.
Yet Lacierda, who speaks for Noynoy, insisted: “These firearms are licensed. There should be no concern on the legality of those firearms but to the extent of my knowledge and I was informed by the Office of the Political Affairs that they will be issuing a statement.”
Laceirda even stressed that Aquino’s chief political adviser is indispensable even as Aquino has made repeated pronouncements that no one is indispensable in his government.
“Secretary Llamas is holding a very sensitive position and that requires a certain level of security. Cabinet secretaries are also entitled to security detail. It is a matter of whether you want to use it or not. But Secretary Llamas occupies a very sensitive position as political affairs secretary and he is entitled to it,” Lacierda stressed in a radio interview, adding that Llamas “is very indispensable in our government.”
A political adviser needs all those high-powered firearms and his position is sensitive? Gee, that’s a new one.
Lacierda, as well as the other chiefs of the three-headed communications hydra always speak out even when they know nothing of what they speak, as all they know is to quickly deny and absolve any and all Cabinet members, allies, cronies, shooting buddies and classmates, the infamous KKKs (kaibigan, kaklase, kabarilan) of Noynoy of any and all allegations of wrongdoing, and just as quickly try and convict by publicity whatever is alleged against Noynoy’s perceived political foes and critics, even in the absence of evidence.
Even when caught with his pants down, Lacierda still absolved Llamas of having the utak wang-wang and utak pulbura, as he said in defending Llamas that he should not be faulted with the discovery of assault rifles in his Montero SUV because he is not even in the country when the incident took place.
What logic coming from a president who keeps on saying that his is a transparent government that extracts responsibility and accountability.
Utak idiot talaga.
