Ramona's leaving for Hong Kong a 'sign of guilt' says Bong

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. considered his half-sister's decision to leave for Hong Kong amid investigation on the killing of their brother, Ram Revilla, as a "sign of guilt."

"We are shocked... Talagang nakakapanginig ng laman... This is a sign of guilt," he said in a television interview Friday evening.

Maria Ramona "Mara" Bautista, half-sister of the senator who has been tagged in the killing of Ramgen "Ram" Revilla last October 28, left the country for Hong Kong Friday night.

She was spotted around 6:20 p.m. at the gate 7 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 1, just hours after she denied involvement in the killing of his brother.

Television reports said Ramona was wearing a red scarf to cover her face. She refused to answer questions when spotted at the airport.

Airport authorities confirmed that Ramona boarded Cathay Pacific's Boeing 747 plane, which left at 7:55 p.m. for Hong Kong. The plane arrived in Hong Kong at 10:45 p.m.

According to reports, Ramona was allowed by airport authorities to leave the country since there was no hold departure order issued against her.

But Senator Revilla said Ramona should not have left, saying her move showed that she is guilty of the crime.

"In the first place, dapat hindi sya umalis... Kailangan hinarap nya itong problema na ito (She should not have left... She should have faced this problem)," he said.

He said, though, that they will still confirm if Ramona really left the country, and find out who told her to leave.

"We are still verifying this... Aalamin naming kung sino ang nagpaalis sa kanya at sino ang nag escort sa kanya para sya makaalis... Kung talagang umalis sya, it's a sign of guilt," the senator said, adding they will still see what they can do with the latest development.

He warned his sister that they will condemn her if it is confirmed that she escaped responsibility for the killing of their brother.

"Hindi namin sya mapapatawad dahil ang namatay rito ay kapatid namin.. Kahit kapatid namin sya, dapat nyang panagutan ito... Bakit sya tatakbo in the first place kung talagang wala syang kasalanan," the senator said.

He also revealed that Genelyn Magsaysay, mother of Ramona and Ram, felt bad that he turned over their other brother Ramon Joseph Bautista to police a day after the death of Ram.

Ramon Joseph, Ramona and five others are facing murder charges for the death of Ram. Ramon Joseph has been tagged as mastermind.

Paranaque police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran, for his part, said they will check with the prosecutor what move they could take against Ramona.
